The practical part
The essentials
Open the Sun & holidays tab, not the weekday one
Every board on this site has a Sundays-and-holidays tab, and on the Canary holidays it maps the board opens on that tab by itself. On a holiday it does not know, or when a board shows a date it cannot place, choose the tab yourself: a weekday departure that does not run on a Sunday is the commonest way to be stranded.

Airports: the daily pattern holds
Line 40 runs every day between TFS, Los Cristianos and Estación Costa Adeje and the 711 every night after it; line 10 to Santa Cruz, line 20 to La Laguna and Santa Cruz and line 30 to Puerto de la Cruz each have separate working-day and weekend-or-holiday tables, so the departures differ but the service does not stop. Line 343 links the airports four times each way on every day type, at different times on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays-and-holidays.
Teide, Anaga and Masca: thin on any day, thinner on Sunday
Lines 342 from Costa Adeje and 348 from Puerto de la Cruz have one bus up to the cable car base and one down, so the return is fixed before you go, on a Sunday as on a weekday. Line 946 to Taganana and Almáciga runs its Sun & holidays table with few returns and no other bus. Line 355 to Masca prints Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays on a table of their own, and its school-day trips do not run on a Sunday; some trips end at Masca rather than going on to Buenavista.
Between the towns
Line 112 between Los Cristianos and Santa Cruz has separate tables for working days and Saturdays and for Sundays and holidays; line 15 between Santa Cruz and La Laguna runs on the Sundays-and-holidays table, with the tram as the other option. Rural stops are the exception to "every corridor runs": WebTenerife lists rural houses across the island, and a rural stop may have a few buses a day or none on a Sunday.

Which holidays the boards know
The Canary Government's 2026 calendar of working holidays is the source, and the boards treat the dates that fall inside the period they show as a Sunday, 12 October and 2 November 2026 among them. Local holidays of a single municipality are not mapped: TITSA's pages name none for a line, and this site will not guess which table a town festival uses. On the day, the notice at the stop wins.

Where the Sunday tables come from
From TITSA's own line pages, read on dated days, saved with a checksum and re-read at least every 45 days; the boards print what the page said on the day it was read and withdraw their times after the show-until date they print. TITSA times departures, not arrivals, so a Sunday bus can pass an intermediate stop a little before or after the printed time.

A Sunday day trip, honestly
The safe Sunday outings are the ones with a frequent line both ways: Las Teresitas on line 910 from Santa Cruz, the coast between Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos and the west on lines 477 and 473, La Laguna on line 15 or the tram. Teide works on a Sunday because its one return is fixed, not because there are more buses; Anaga and Masca work only with the return chosen before you leave and a margin after it.
Asked and answered
Questions people ask
Do buses run on Sundays in Tenerife?
Yes, on every corridor this site covers, from TITSA's Sundays-and-holidays table, with a later first bus and longer gaps than on a weekday. The airport lines keep their daily pattern; the thin lines to Teide, Anaga and Masca stay thin. Pick the Sun & holidays tab on any board before you plan.

Do the buses run on a public holiday?
Yes, on the Sunday table. The boards on this site switch to it on the Canary holidays they map, 12 October and 2 November 2026 among them; on a holiday they do not know, open the Sun & holidays tab yourself.
Is there a Sunday bus from Tenerife South Airport to Puerto de la Cruz?
Yes: line 343 runs from Costa Adeje through TFS and Tenerife North to Puerto de la Cruz station a few times a day on every day type; on a Sunday or a holiday use its Sun & holidays table, which the airport board prints. Otherwise line 10 to Santa Cruz and a change to line 100.
The other half of the plan
And the way back.
On a Sunday or a holiday choose the bus back from the Sun & holidays tab before you leave, be at the stop early because TITSA times departures and not arrivals, and on the thin lines take the return you fixed before you set out. If the sum does not work, a taxi is the honest answer.
