The practical part
Here’s how to get there.
Land at the Los Cristianos ferry port
The La Gomera ferries leave from and return to the port of Los Cristianos; Fred. Olsen Express and Baleària Canarias both sail between San Sebastián de La Gomera and Los Cristianos. Sailing times belong to the operators, so check them on their own pages rather than on a bus page.

Walk to the Los Cristianos stop
The TITSA pages for these lines name Los Cristianos as a stop but do not name the ferry terminal or say how far it is. Check the walk from the port to your stop before you rely on a connection.
Pick the line for where you are going
Take line 40 for Estación Costa Adeje or the south airport, line 112 for Santa Cruz Intercambiador, or night line 711 after the day buses stop. Match the destination shown on the bus to the line.
To Costa Adeje on line 40
Line 40 runs between Tenerife South Airport (TFS), Los Cristianos and Estación Costa Adeje, and its published timetable runs every day. Los Cristianos is one of the official boarding points toward Costa Adeje, so board there; TITSA says intermediate stops on that stretch do not pick up unless someone is getting off.

Playa de las Américas
TITSA’s route descriptions for lines 40 and 711 name Los Cristianos and Estación Costa Adeje, not Playa de las Américas. Choose whichever of those two named points is closer to your hotel and plan the last stretch from there. From Costa Adeje Station, lines 471 and 473 also run to Los Cristianos.
To Santa Cruz on line 112
Line 112’s itinerary runs between Los Cristianos and Santa Cruz Intercambiador. It has separate tables for working days and Saturdays and for Sundays and holidays, so open the table for the day you travel.

After the last day bus: night line 711
Night line 711 runs every day between Santa Cruz, the south airport, Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje Station. TITSA’s line 40 page points to it outside the line 40 timetable.
Asked and answered
Questions people ask
Which bus goes from Los Cristianos port to Costa Adeje?
Not line 40 from Los Cristianos: its TITSA note says that towards Costa Adeje it makes no intermediate stops to pick up, except for passengers getting off, and Los Cristianos is an intermediate stop on that line. TITSA's line list names lines 471 and 473 as Los Cristianos to Estación Costa Adeje. TITSA's pages name Los Cristianos, not the ferry terminal. Line 112 runs to Santa Cruz.
Does the bus wait for the La Gomera ferry?
No. Sailing times belong to the ferry operators and the bus keeps its own timetable, so after a ferry day leave a margin between the last sailing you need and the bus: the sailing, not the bus, decides the day.

The other half of the plan
And the way back.
To go back to the port, take line 40, 112 or 711 to Los Cristianos and walk from the stop. After a ferry day, leave a margin between the last sailing you need and the bus, because the sailing, not the bus, decides the day.
