The southern circuit: 342 up, 341 across, 342 home
Line 341 runs inside the park between Portillo Bajo and the Parador by the Roques de García: two trips a day each way, every day, 20 minutes by TITSA’s page, and its board is on this page under the 342’s. By bus, the circuit from the south is the 342 up to the El Portillo end of the park, the 341 from Portillo Bajo back to the Parador and the Roques, and the 342 home from the Parador. TITSA names Portillo Alto, the visitor centre and Portillo Bajo as three stops while the 342 prints “El Portillo”, so ask the driver where the 341 stops before you get off, and choose a 341 that leaves you at the Parador well before the 342 home.

Getting off for the cable car
The Teleférico appears on the 342 table between Parador Nacional and El Portillo, with a time on the trip back towards Costa Adeje. TITSA’s line 341 table covers trips within the park between Roques de García, the Parador, the Teleférico, Montaña Blanca, Minas de San José, Portillo Alto, the visitor centre and Portillo Bajo; its notes say those trips are run by line 342 and 348 buses, so check that it shows a trip when you need one.
The bus does not include the summit
The cable car’s upper station is at 3,555 m. Its operator says a cable car ticket lets you walk two of the three trails at the top; the trail to the summit needs a separate national-park permit, which the national parks booking office says is issued through Tenerife ON.

Dress for the mountain, not the beach
Spain’s national parks network describes the park’s climate as dry, with strong contrasts between day and night, often intense winds and some snow days in winter. Carry layers even when Costa Adeje is hot.

Yes, line 342, from Costa Adeje Station via Los Cristianos, Arona, Vilaflor and the Parador into Las Cañadas del Teide, on to El Portillo. On the way back its timetable also times the Teleférico, the cable car base station.
